Okay so Preparations are now underway........For my WEDDING!
88 day away.....Yikes....
It will be here before we know it
And until you start to prepare one, you really aren't aware of all of the LITTLE details that you have to deal with...and mine is not even a Huge wedding....well just a little, tiny, on the edge huge!
So This post is about a few "Cute" DIY things that I have been doing for the reception
So the frames and the easels started out the same.....Natural wood
then I painted them both with white craft paint.
Because when I sanded the edges of the topcoat I wanted the white to show through, not the natural wood.
Then once that dried, I painted over the white with a "Tiffany blue" color craft paint.
(Tiffany Blue is the color for my wedding and it actually looks brighter on the computer but it is in fact Tiffany blue in person)
These will be the "MR. and MRS." Signs that hang on the back of our chairs. I will do the Mr. and Mrs. in Rhinestones!
Then I painted the wood insert that came with the frames with Chalkboard paint (I love that stuff)
Then I sanded all edges with a sanding block for a distress look - (I'm going for Vintage elegance)
I got some very very small canvas' and painted them with chalk board paint as well.
These will be tied at the top with some rafia/twine for a vintage look and will be used as Buffet food markers for the Buffet table. So cute!
And I got these on sale for half price at the craft store!!!! Whoop! Whoop!
This is the paint that I used. Gotta love craft paint!
And then you get yourself a personalized Mason Jar stamp made from Stamp Out Online Here.
And stamp your napkins yourself! LOVE!
And I snagged this beauty up at Old Time Pottery in Tennessee this past week. It's huge, like 2.5ft tall and will look awesome on the floor next to the welcome table at the wedding!
So sometimes you just want things to look a certain way and it's easier to do it yourself! I guess that's why they call it DIY!
